Dear Loser,
A lot of you guys out there, who are affiliates for stuff, are playing the Google Adwords game, right? And as we all know, Google is the online equivalent of the creepy, popular, born-again stepdad who’s boinking your mom and trying to be a good guy, but he’s just a loser you secretly wish would die.
(Daddy issues? Nah…)
Anyway, if you’re using Adwords to get affiliate traffic, you are probably having a hard time - especially with their dang quality score nonsense.
Well, here’s a nifty little trick I use for my affiliate marketing efforts you should definitely begin using immediately.
However - it DOES cost a bit of money, so all you broke-ass losers out there, stop reading this post right now because I don’t want to hear you bitching about how broke you are - especially if you can’t afford the $10 it’s gonna cost you to do this little ditty.
All right, that said, here’s the trick…
Go to GoDaddy.com, and register a brand new domain name with your main keyword in it somewhere. So if we were an affiliate for some car product, we’d get a domain like “www.findanewdamncar.com”
Once we pay our $8 (or whatever) to buy that domain, we set it up so that domain is masked to our affiliate link for the car program. You can do this pretty easily in GoDaddy. Just go into the control panel for that domain and go to “forwarding,” but instead of forwarding the domain, you’ll be masking it. This means that domain name is still in the address bar when a visitor visits the merchant’s site, even though your affiliate link was the page that loaded.
Then you go and create your google adwords campaigns using this link. The key here is to have your main keyword IN the link. If you have this, it will actually bump up your quality score. Use this as the display and destination URL.
What does this do for you?
Well, number 1 - as I already said, Google will increase your quality score if you have your primary keyword that you’re targeting in your domain name.
Number 2 - If your affiliate program is sucking, you can go into GoDaddy and change the affiliate link. If you went into Google to change your link, your ads would stop running until the changes were approved. This way, you can test numerous programs and not miss a beat or mess with your adwords. (You can even set up a split test link and test multiple affiliate programs at the same time by doing this)
Number 3 - It makes it hard for people to spy on you. If you have multiple keywords you’re targeting, get a new domain name for each one, each with the keyword you’re targeting in it. This way, if someone stumbles across one domain of yours and SpyFus that mother, they won’t have all your keywords and ads, just a small piece of a larger puzzle.
Yes, if you get really into this, like me, you’ll be buying up lots of domain names, and it can get expensive. But an added benefit is that a targeted domain actually tends to increase conversions, so this technique could end up making you more money than you spent in the long run.

Thanks RJ! Google has always been my bitch…even when I was just a noob
Well, a nice trick and a good way to prevent people from stealing my effort in searching for the key words. However, Why I should use this GoDaddy.com instead of any other web hosting company like yahoo for instance. Thanks the Rich Jerk for your good advises. Best Regards from Germany.
Great post RJ i will definately give it a try. You should create more posts about using adwrods effectively and some of the methods you use to increase conversions
FANTASTIC RJ!

reading your mails and blogs it’s just like having sex.Your natural hunting ground is creative, tasty, witty, wild and ejoyable.
That’s my tribute to a real chopper like you.
I’m freaking broke but my search for meaning is not over. Maybe one day the blammed returns…Thank you.
Best,
Tony CR
I thought that Google had now started blocking sites like that, that it was not allowing people to have multiple sites all forwarded to the same site? I know some people were bitching because it didn’t let them test new URL’s to see if they were successful or not. How do you get around that?
Another brilliant angle, RJ!
I know, I know - you’re wishin’ you had my domain name, huh?

Yeah, it ROCKS!

Jade,
Google’s change was that you had to actually HAVE the domain you were displaying in your ad. You can’t test a domain name you didn’t own and have it go to a different one.
So if you thought GetCarsCheap.com would convert better than Cars4Free.com, you couldn’t pop GetCarsCheap.com in your ad and still have it go to Cars4Free.com. See how that works?
It might help if you actually bothered to learn stuff about Google before you posted here.

Hey rich jerk, you have to be the most conseeded ass that I have ever herd from Waterloo,Ontario in my life. Please cool it down just a bit…Unless you work for R.I.M. Thank-you,Kelly/
Be kind now… (Well, that’s asking or wanting…) Just don’t bitch slap me around, k? If I own something like rentaslut.com and I use this to send people to rentadate.com - same per your instruction, or am I missing the point?

I dunno what I’ve been smelling today, but I feel like letting you in a little inside upcoming stuff.
I’ve been spending my time with this tool that alows you to do everything you do on the internet in complete autopilot.
It works this way: when you notice that you are checking too often something or doing something on a regular basis or supose you don’t like to be hit by promotional useless crap when you checking your stocks.
What do you do? Your write a plugin for that task and plug it into this tool I was talking.
Now the crappy sh*t is that its a prototype and if you want a plugin you have to do it yourself (or hire someone to do it (but that could lead to leak of information)).
Anyway, the funny part is that this week I got patient enough to get aroud with it and HELL YEEEEAHHH: that thing is easy, I mean, take an adwords ad as an example, you write like 50 chars or so, and a plugin for this thing takes roughly the same I even got one in two lines of code:
*********************************************************
$RichJerk = new WebTask (’www.therichjerk.com’);
$RichJerk->CommentLasPost (’there, you see? in 2 lines’);
*********************************************************
So, on to the experience. I went on for field test with something that I could afford to lose, just in case I was wrong.
I flipped a coin and went for youtube where I did the following (remember, this is just a field test):
1 - Create an account (or maybe I’ll multiply that by 2000) and 2 minutes later, BAM - done (yes, with the new account first email verification included and working here)!
2 - I wanna search for something and extract the videos urls from ALL of the results pages (2820 urls in 1 second)
3 - Lets see what were the comments in each video from this list of urls that I just got… ta, ta, ta, ta and half minut later I had LARGE THOUSANDS of comments extracted and neatly formated.
At this point I think to myself: This ease of flexibility kicks some ass!
4 - I LIKE IT… but I’m here to test. So let’s tell this dudes and dudettes that they have some really cool videos (even if they suck), and 8 seconds later, BAM almoust 3000 comments sent ().
Now don’t get me wrong, spammers would sell their mothers if they had to, just to have their life made easy because of using this, but fu*k them.
5 - Before I leave I found a video that I liked (some dude riding a lambo with a blond chick and calling everyone a loser), so what am I gonna do? I know, what if I adjusted a few things here? I say that the view count should be increase by 5000 and it should have a 4 star rating with at least 100 votes and I want it to be favourited by all those 2000 new accounts. I had to scratch my head to do this one (that’s why I don’t like to write plugins), but it finally came off nicely.
So, it all sums up to this: It took me like an afternoon to do this, but I had LOTS OF FUN!
Like i said I dunno what have gotten to me today, maybe I feel like making you eager and jealeous of the true value that lays here, I mean take a look for example at SubvertAndProfit, it could be winning truckloads more in the crowdsorcing business if it had this.
Comments and thoughts can be added right here…
Yo RJ,
A lot of this is a recap from your xray domination course right?
Some good tips RJ.. thanks.
Great tips here RJ. I never liked the direct affiliate linking method myself - visitors are too valuable to always just throw directly to merchants.

PLAYBOY doesn’t “play” around!

Okay, it’s been like five weeks or so and I finally got around to putting the 15 domains I procured to work. Most of them have my keyword(s) in the domain name, or at least have a related catchy title. I put up 50 slightly differing ads on Google Adwords using all of the domains, masking my main domain for the website.
It has been less than 24 hours and I am amazed at all of the impressions I am getting, with very low average positions. The CTR is much better, and my cost is the lowest that I have ever paid per click! I can pop in pretty much any of my selected keywords on Google and not have to search for my ad! It’s right there, sometimes all by itself! WOW! That’s a far cry from this past April, when as a NOOB I was paying like several dollars for a #@&%* click!
As far as I know, there’s no limit to the number of ads I can put up that Google will “test” for me with their Optimized Ad Serving. It reads “Unless you opt out of this feature, our system will automatically favor your ads with a higher clickthrough rate (CTR) and Quality Score, showing these higher-performing ads more often than your other ads. You can change this setting for a campaign to give your ads equal opportunity to show, regardless of CTR.” Well, since they all mask the same domain name - I won’t be changing that setting! Feel empowered to find me what works best, Mr. Google!
I also assume that all this exposure will eventually better my organic search listing as well. My last check from the other ideas that RJ mildly suggested (ok, ridiculed LOL) to us was a rank increase of like 5 million! Yeah, I was starting from scratch - but that’s the direction I want to be in!
Thanks, RJ, for helping us NOOB Losers with all the tips to clean and polish our main domain! (that sounds rather naughty…)
