I know there are probably a lot of you morons out there wasting piles of cash on Google Adwords. Well, I had one of my lackeys (ie: “employees”) whip up a little video showcasing one of my latest and greatest strokes of brilliance.
It’s a technique I’m using to *LAZER* target adwords campaigns, not just for the Rich Jerk company, but also for new affiliate offers we’re testing out privately.
I’m sure you guys will be racing over to your adwords accounts to trick it out RJ style right after the video.

Quantcast also shows keywords you can target, use those and you are on your way.

Living in a “contemporary ghetto” environment at present doesn’t mean that any of us “couldn’t” climb outta it…
However, we need to know how it feels - “FIRST HAND”…
You see, it’s not easy “buying” our way out of our “situation”.
It really would be nice - just for a change - if just one of us were “introduced” into the “wealth” lifestyle and “chronicled” our “path” that got us there - so far, no takers…(sans Guru’s)

First of all, I think its hilarious that you are getting nigerians begging for money on your blog.Second, I bought rj’s ebook quite some time ago. What did I do with it? I used it to think outside the f*cking box! I make a healthy 6 figure income,have a paid off home,paid off cars. Quit asking for a damn hand out and get off your ass and execute! Do you really think you can buy a book and just sit there and expect it to make you money? Nice video, RJ. Good heads up on the demographics on adwords. Quick question — do you ever bid more (ex: Bid + 20%) on any of the demos or do you just pick one or two groups you like and let it sit there at its current bid price?
Hey Jen - Finally, an intelligent question. You must not be that hot if you’re thinking so clearly.
Anyway: To start off with, I will exclude demographics and focus JUST on the primary demographic for the website I am promoting. This is just so we can test the program for cheap and see how it responds.
If it’s a winner, then we’ll roll out to the other demos, but we’ll EMPHASIZE the demos we really want by adding to our bid (the +20% thing). This is basically so you can ensure you’re getting as much of this traffic as possible.
However, don’t forget, we will EXCLUDE demographics that reach 200 clicks and no sales. Once you have pinpointed the stuff that converts for you, there’s no need to serve your ads to those other demos, and therefore no need to increase your bid amounts. That’s just if you aren’t excluding anything but know a specific demo is bringing in sales.

Hah, let’s just say I have no shortage of willing men to cater to me.
Anyway, I’m aware of the Google conversion tracking feature, but what do I do if I’m promoting an affiliate product? Obviously I can’t edit their “Thank you” pages to input the code there. So I see no real way for me to track which keywords are converting and which aren’t.
The only solution I’ve found so far is that some affiliates, such as Clickbank, allow a tracking ID so I could input a number or code for each keyword phrase, and keep track of what’s what in excel. But this is pretty cumbersome, and it only works when I link directly to the affiliate product (sometimes I want to set up my own landing page or review page). Know of anything better?
Well, well, I guess I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.
My team and I use X-Ray Domination for affiliate conversion tracking. It works with many different affiliate programs, and lets us know what’s converting and what isn’t.
Is it a bitch that it doesn’t show up in our Google Stats homepage? Sure. But what are ya gonna do? Very few merchants will put your code on their thank you pages.
There are other tracking systems out there than you can use as well, and most of the affiliate networks allow ID tracking, like you said Clickbank does. If you don’t want to pay money for a tracking service like X-Ray Domination, you can manually set up your TIDs (tracking IDs) for each keyword you have.

Just please help me understand this correctly.
I always thought that you sent people to your website and then from there to your affiliate site. But, is this just putting up a Google Adwords ad and sending them directly to the affiliate link?

Either way will work. I think the easiest (and laziest) way is to just send them directly to the affiliate link.
If you want to exapnd on the sales copy and try to increase your conversion then you can link to your page, and then again to the affiliate link. But keep in mind that you are then asking the user to click 3 times, not 2 times…

3.Buy Button
I prefer the 2 step method, if its a quality product you dont need to promote it yourself anyway.
